Ministry: Russian wheat exports rise 42.6% in Jul 1, 2017–Feb 28
MOSCOW, Mar 5 (PRIME) -- Russia’s wheat exports increased 42.6% on the year to 27.052 million tonnes from July 1, 2017 through February 28, the Agriculture Ministry said in a statement on Monday.
Total grain exports rose 40.9% to 34.581 million tonnes in the period, according to information of the Federal Customs Service.
Barley exports amounted to 4.034 million tonnes, while corn exports were at 3.256 million tonnes.
The Agriculture Ministry expects that Russia’s grain exports may reach 50 million tonnes this year, including 40 million tonnes of wheat.
